What is our goal at CBI Peru?

In the new testament Jesus told His followers to go into all the world and make disciples. A disciple is someone who is a learner and a follower. A person who desires to be exactly like His master. A person who is being transformed into the image of Christ.

Our mission at CBI Peru is to raise up the next generation to be biblical disciples of Jesus Christ. Everything we do falls under that mandate. The questions we continually ask are: Is this helping our students be transformed into the image of Christ? Are they becoming surrendered disciples of our Lord and Savior? We believe our mission is part of the great commission , and it serves as our guiding principle for the school

And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

Our means to accomplish the goal of making disciples is to follow God’s instruction and example in the Word of God. We are looking for faithful men and women whom we can disciple and prepare to be tomorrow’s ministers. Just as Jesus spent 3 years personally discipling the 12, we want to be hands-on and personal in our discipleship. Our staff and visiting pastors will not only teach Bible classes, but also spend time talking, praying, and discipling our students. Our hope is to have intimate and conversational classes in which the teachers can pour into the students. We do not want to be a lecture hall, but a discipleship base. A place where people can study God’s Word, as well as learn from the personal experiences of those whom have gone before them.

FACTS ABOUT CBI PERU:

• We are an international discipleship center dedicated to raising up both national and international students to know the Word of God and to be true disciples of Jesus Christ.
• We currently have students and staff from Peru, Venezuela, Colombia, Canada and the USA.
• The CBI program is a 2 year program with year 1 being intensive study of the Word of God, and year 2 being focused on ministry preparation.
• We are located in Trujillo, Peru which is the principal city in the north of Peru and home to over 1 million people.
• Our campus is located in the heart of the city, and we believe our location gives an excellent platform to prepare for ministry.
• We are connected to a vibrant Calvary Chapel Church (La Roca Trujillo) that allows the students to interact with the community, have fellowship, and serve.
• CBI Peru is affliated with Calvary Bible Institute in Joshua Springs, CA. This creates a wonderful spirit of fellowship and collaboration as well as providing international students, interns, pastors and teachers.
• CBI Peru is also connected to Gospel South America which is a school and church planting ministry with the aim to see healthy, Bible teaching churches planted throughout South America.
